March is National Athletic Trainer Month

March is National Athletic Trainer Month! Athletic trainers are skilled health care professionals who specialize in management, prevention and recovery for injured athletes. They provide support on the sidelines of games, at practices and on a daily basis for their athletic programs. The trainers work closely with the supervising physician to provide athletes immediate as well as follow-up care. At Infirmary Health our trainers are licensed in the State of Alabama as well as by the Board of Certification.
