Mobile Infirmary's Robotic Surgery program

Mobile Infirmary’s surgery program is one of the most robust in Alabama, performing more than 10,000 da Vinci robotic surgeries in the last 16 years. Nearly 40 highly-trained surgeons across a variety of specialties utilize our four da Vinci robots to offer some of the newest surgical techniques to our patients. This system minimizes the invasive character of surgeries by making the smallest incision possible, leading to fewer complications and higher recovery rates.

In partnership with Mobile Infirmary, physicians like Dr. Matthew McIntyre with Urology Associates of Mobile were among the first to embrace this cutting-edge technology to perform robotic prostate surgeries. Today, they perform more than 100 procedures each month – more than any other urology practice in the Gulf Coast region.
