Howard Cox, DPM, FACFAS, a podiatrist with more than 25 years of experience, joins Diagnostic & Medical Clinic (DMC), an affiliate of Infirmary Health. As a board-certified podiatrist, Dr. Cox specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions and injuries that affect the foot. Using both surgical and non-surgical treatment methods, he treats common conditions such as plantar fasciitis, foot complications from diabetes, tendonitis, bunions, nail disorders and more. Dr. Cox earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Iowa. He completed a rotating podiatric residency with American Lake VA Medical Center and a podiatric surgical residency with Green River Surgery Center, both in Washington. He is board-certified in podiatry by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Cox operated a podiatry clinic in rural Iowa for more than 20 years before relocating to Alabama.
