Jill Everson with Infirmary Health and Jeremy Pace with Wells Fargo recently appeared on Making Rounds with Fox10 News to discuss the 46th Annual Spring Fever Chase. Spring Fever Chase is a 10K and 2-mile fun run/walk that winds through beautiful downtown Fairhope overlooking Mobile Bay.
One of the most exciting aspects of the Spring Fever Chase is the friendly competition for prize money and grants allocated to Baldwin County schools. The grants are intended to help schools purchase equipment and cover program expenses for their physical education departments. They are awarded based on the availability of funds and each school's participation.
The Spring Fever Chase donates its proceeds annually to Baldwin County Schools to help enhance their P.E. programs. In 2023, the event raised over $18,000, the highest amount ever donated. To qualify for cash awards, schools must have at least 25 race applicants; each participant that registers earns the school $2. Schools with fewer than 25 registrations are not eligible for cash awards. An additional cash award is presented to the school with the highest percentage of race participants.
