Mobile Infirmary receives Women’s Choice Award® for cancer care and heart care services

Mobile Infirmary, an affiliate of Infirmary Health, has received the 2024 Women’s Choice Award® for cancer care and heart care services. These awards indicate that Mobile Infirmary is in the top 10% of 4,728 U.S. hospitals offering cancer care and heart care services. The Women’s Choice Award educates all women on where to receive the best care and focuses its research on hospitals that provide the highest quality patient experience, especially important for potential labor complications.

“Women should feel empowered to choose the best hospital to meet their healthcare needs,” says Susan Boudreau, President of Mobile Infirmary. “As an area leader, Mobile Infirmary is proud to be recognized by the Women’s Choice Awards as the FIRST CHOICE for women for cancer care and heart care services. Our staff and physicians work hard to meet the highest standards for quality care for our patients.”

Infirmary Health’s flagship hospital, Mobile Infirmary, was founded in 1910. With 689 licensed beds, including J.L. Bedsole / Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital, it is among the leading hospitals in the state for surgical volume, houses a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the region's only long-term acute care hospital and a freestanding emergency department in Saraland. Mobile Infirmary has also been ranked as high-performing in five service lines by U.S. News and World Report for 2023-2024. In May 2021, Mobile Infirmary earned The Joint Commission certification as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center.
