American College of Physicians Leadership Day - 2024 | Thomas Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program

Thomas Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program faculty Dr. Michael Broadwell, and PGY3 residents Drs. Aalaap Desai and Lauren Hopkins attended the 2024 American College of Physicians (ACP) Leadership Day on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. This two-day event enabled the American College of Physicians to increase its presence on Capitol Hill and bring issues of concern to U.S. lawmakers. ACP members received advocacy training, an update on the College's legislative priorities; briefings from Members of Congress, Administration officials, and key Capitol Hill staffers; and an opportunity to meet with our state's elected officials. A special briefing for residents/fellows-in-Training and medical students was also provided.
