Dr. Alan Franklin receives Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists

We are pleased to announce that Alan Franklin, MD, PhD, FASRS, board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon at Diagnostic & Medical Clinic, recently received the Senior Honor Award from the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) at the 2024 Annual Meeting in Stockholm, Sweden. The award recognizes members who demonstrate significant contributions to the field of retinal diseases as recognized by the Society. The ASRS is the largest society of retinal specialists with 3,500 members from 63 countries. Only 10-20 Senior Honor Awards are given each year.
Dr. Franklin remains committed to advancing the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in his vitreoretinal practice. He publishes and presents internationally on 3D Digitally Assisted Vitreoretinal Surgery and pharmacosurgical approaches to Vitreoretinal Surgery. He is the Founder of ForwardVue Pharma, a company dedicated to advancing novel long-acting therapeutics for retinal diseases.
This year Dr. Franklin has presented his work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, South Florida, Seattle, WA, Thessaloniki, Greece, Stockholm, Sweden, Dubai, UAE, New Dehli, India (virtual), and Tokyo, Japan (virtual). He is scheduled to present in San Diego, CA, and Florence, Italy before the end of the year.
