default image

Dr. Larkin Daniels recently joined Lenise Ligon on Fox10 New's Making Rounds to discuss robotic thoracic surgery and the impact it can have on chest surgeries, including lung cancer procedures.

Mobile Infirmary's thoracic surgery program has cared for more than 900 patients since its inception. Robotic thoracic surgery offers patients reduced risk of complications, and smaller incisions, leading to faster recovery times.

Dr. Larkin Daniels is a board-certified surgeon in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. He serves as the director for the Thoracic Oncology Program at Mobile Infirmary. He is a regional leader in specialty. He performed the first thoracoscopic lobectomy in Alabama in 2002 as well as the first robotic lung resection in the Gulf Coast Region in 2011. Also in 2011, he established a robotic thoracic surgery program at Mobile Infirmary, making it the only one of its kind in Southern Alabama.
