Thomas Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program (THIMRP) physician Dr. Unwam Jumbo, PGY-3, received the prestigious 2024 R13 National Institute of Health Early Career Investigator Award from the National Medical Association Internal Medicine Section for his work on “Racial, Weekend, and Renalism Effect Among Patients with NSTEMI: A Triple Jeopardy." The R13 grant provides support for high-quality conferences/scientific meetings that are relevant to the National Institute of Health’s scientific mission and public health.
Dr. Jumbo presented his poster at the 2024 National Medical Association Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly in New York. This research was done with THIMRP faculty member Dr. Mina Jacob, cardiology. Congratulations Dr. Jumbo!
