Infirmary Health welcomes cardiothoracic surgeon, Tung Vu, MD

Tung Vu, MD, fellowship trained cardiothoracic surgeon, joins Cardio-Thoracic & Vascular Surgical Associates. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, he will perform adult cardiac surgery including but not limited to valve repair, aortic surgery, minimally invasive techniques, coronary surgery, and mechanical support.

Dr. Vu is a graduate of the University of South Alabama. He received a doctor of medicine degree from the University of South Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Vu completed a residency in general surgery and fellowship in thoracic surgey with Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2022, he received the Taylor A. Picket, MD Memorial Award from the Ochsner Alumni Association for noteworthy achievements during his fellowship training.
