Mobile Infirmary Welcomes the Newest Class of Internal Medicine Residents

Mobile Infirmary, an affiliate of Infirmary Health, welcomed their second class of Internal Medicine residents on Match Day 2025.

Physician residency applicants, institutions, training programs, medical schools, and the broader medical education community come together during Match Week, which culminates on Friday with "Match Day." On Match Day, applicants find out which residency programs they will train in, marking the transition from undergraduate to graduate medical education. This significant milestone is celebrated by medical students around the world.

Mobile Infirmary received approval by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to establish an internal medicine physician residency program beginning in June 2024. By 2027, Mobile Infirmary’s Internal Medicine Residency Program will train upwards of 80 physician residents.
